Volunteer Opportunities

Due to COVID-19, we have set up small shifts to ensure volunteers are able to work according to New York State’s social distancing recomendations. The Patroon Land Farm staff are also taking every precaution in ensuring work spaces and tools are cleaned and sanitized on an ongoing basis.

Individual Opportunities

Throughout the season, volunteers are needed to help start seeds, transplant, harvest, wash, and pack. Sign up is easy and can be done instantly using the link below. We are currently looking for help with tasks inside our greenhouse. No prior farm experience necessary! The Farm is located at 132 Ketcham Road in Voorheesville.

Group Opportunities

As soon as the fields are ready come springtime, the Farm starts working with businesses, community organizations, schools, and others in a combined effort to maximize the Farm’s production. Tens of thousands of hours have been donated to date and are invaluable to the mission of the Farm.

School Tours & Internships

Each spring, staff visit classrooms providing soil, seeds and growing cups for students. Under their care, the seeds germinate, grow into plants and are brought to the Farm for transplanting into the soil. Throughout the season we host school volunteer groups where we teach the students about agriculture and the Farm.
